Founder's Day

Founders DayCashmere's biggest celebration of the summer is Founders' Day, held the last weekend of June. The City's main street, Cottage Avenue, is the setting for a parade, good food, live entertainment and arts and craft booths, and a grand parade through downtown Cashmere. The Chamber of Commerce sponsors children's games in Riverside Park and the volunteer fire department cools off the local kids with spray from the fire hose. There are usually activities in the Pioneer Village outside Cashmere's Museum during Founders' Day weekend.


Apple Days

Apple DaysThe first weekend of October each year Apple Days is held at the Museum, 600 Cotlets Way, in Cashmere. The Pioneer Village is the setting for entertainment, food, arts and crafts and local residents dress in authentic pioneer clothing. Mock shoot-outs are a popular event and are held at various times during the day. Visitors can ride in a horse-drawn wagon, join in the apple pie baking contest or watch the dog pulls at Riverside Park.


Cashmere St. Patrick's Day Parade

Held on St. Patrick's Day-March 17. The shortest St. Patricks Day Parade in Washington State occurs on Cottage Ave. Activities include live entertainment, parade and food.



Blue GrassWenatchee Bluegrass Festival

The Wenatchee River Bluegrass Festival is held every year on the third weekend in June. This Festival is hosted by Chelan County Expo Center (formerly the Chelan County Fairgrounds) in Cashmere. Activities include instrument workshops, food and beverage vendors, camping and band scramble at an outdoor stage.


The Cashmere Community Coffeehouse

The Cashmere Community Concerts are held on Saturdays (Check website for exact times). Activities include live music, arts and crafts and food.


Chelan County Fair

Chelan County Expo CenterThe Chelan County Fair is held the Thursday through Sunday after Labor Day each year. The fair offers all the usual exhibits and activities of a county fair, including animal exhibits, commercial exhibits, food and a rodeo. The Expo Center is a 33 acre County owned and operated facility in the heart of Chelan County. The Expo Center operates year round with events such as weddings, quincenieras, horse clinics, trade shows, circus, Wenatchee River Bluegrass Festival and auctions. The Expo Center offers RV hook-up sites and rental facilities.
